The FAI Freeflight World Championship for Gliders with Automatic Steering (Slope Soaring) will be held from 12. to 20. September in the Rhön in Germany. On 13. September an open worldcup competition (Berner world cup) will be held, a further one on 19. September (Rhön world cup). The European championship F1E was held in the same area in 2008. More  slopes will be available 2009 compared to 2008.The World Championship will be held for seniors and juniors in separate competions.
